KEW ON A PLATE

4 X 60 BBC TWO

An ambitious series presented by Raymond Blanc and Kate Humble which involved creating a vegetable garden at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, cooking what we grew in a special on-site kitchen, and exploring the history and science behind the produce.

From making sugar from sugar-beet as Napoleon would have done to experimenting with growing mushrooms using 19th century techniques, from investigating the dark history of the tomato to finding out were pineapples were worth their weight in gold – this is Who Do You Think You are for fruit and veg.
