This series charts a season at the world-famous ancient cemetery of Saqqara, where a team of Egyptian archaeologists is unearthing untold treasures.  From mega-tombs filled with hundreds of burials, to an elaborately painted mummy, to a mysterious and unfinished Old Kingdom tomb dating back 4000 years, we get a glimpse of one of the greatest civilisations ever known.  

State-of-the-art graphics, evocative animations, and expert testimony bring this lost world alive as we reveal what this land of the dead can tell us about the land of the living.
